Between May 6 and May 11, 2019, 40 participants from different countries participated in the Technology Transfer and Commercialization Hub of the Americas, held in Panama City (Panama), promoted by the National Secretary of Science Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), The Organization of the American States (OAS) and the PILA network, based at the Technological University of Panama.
At the event, Tekcapital was invited as a main panelist and competition judge. The course consisted of a week of training and strategic networking for participants from Latin America and the Caribbean, with a variety of participants assigned to public and private technology transfer offices or entities with responsibilities in these matters.
The main purpose of this course was for all these decision-makers within the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem to strengthen their capacity to solve problems in their communities, using tools such as intellectual property, technology evaluation, generation of technology-based companies, prototyping, technology commercialization and the management of innovation funds, investment funds and venture capital.
