In its initial edition, The Innovation Summit Brazil 2019, invited Tekcapital to present “The Role of Universities in Successful Start-up Creation” for approximately two thousand people. The event was held from August 12 to August 14, 2019, in Florianopolis, Brazil. The main purpose of the event was to stimulate innovation investments within Brazil, by gathering decision-makers and agents to define actions tailored towards strengthening the innovation ecosystem, the competitiveness of the country’s economy, the attraction of capital, scientific research and the collaboration between companies and institutions.

The event was hosted by several key leaders in the innovations and technology ecosystem such as the Brazilian VC Association, Brazilian University Technology Managers Association, Brazilian Science Park and the Incubator Association.

During the innovations week, Tekcapital was delighted to sponsor the annual meeting of the Brazilian Forum of Innovations and Technology Transfer Managers, organized by FORTEC, and enthusiastically shared this opportunity with the World Intellectual Property Organization, among other big key players.
